Day 1- Cape Town
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Relax and enjoy the amazing views from your room, or go out for a night on the town.
Day 2 - Cape Town
After a scrumptious breakfast, you will enjoy a tour of the city. See the best of Cape Town, including a trip up Table Mountain. Visit the colourful "Bo-Kaap", Castle of Good Hope and Milnerton Lighthouse among others. You have the rest of the afternoon free to explore on your own.
Day 3: Cape Town to Hermanus
Enjoy an appetizing breakfast before venturing out to discover the lovely scenery on the way to Hermanus. Along the way, we will stop at the Harold Porter National Botanical Gardens. This lovely garden is situated in the centre of the coastal fynbos, where the flora is at its richest. Upon arrival at Hermanus, you have time free to venture out on your own.
Day 4: Hermanus
Today you have the day at leisure. Hermanus is a famous whale-watching destination with lovely beaches, impeccable restaurants, museums and much more.
Day 5: Hermanus - Agulhas
Today you travel to Agulhas, the geographic southern tip of the African continent, and the beginning of the dividing line between the Atlantic and Indian oceans. Visit the lighthouse, take a leisurely stroll down the beach or relax with a nice book, once checked in.
Day 6: Agulhas - Botlierskop Private Game Reserve
Today you will be spoiled with the beautiful vistas of the Southern Cape interior. Shop to your heart's content at one of the several roadside oases, drive through the well-known Harbour town of Mosselbay, visit the historic Diaz museum before checking in to Botlierskop Private Game Reserve.
Day 7: Botlierskop Private Game Reserve and Cango Caves
Today you visit the world-famous Cango caves in Oudtshoorn. Upon return to the hotel, a game drive awaits. Get up close with the resident elephants and rhinos.
Day 8: Botlierskop to Wilderness
We say goodbye to Botlierskop as we leave for Wilderness and the Garden Route. Before checking in to your hotel, you will be taken to the extraordinary "Map of Africa" viewpoint and an 850-year-old Yellowwood tree in Hoekwil. After checking in at your hotel, you have the evening at leisure.
Day 9: Knysna
Board a ferry for a trip on the beautiful Knysna Lagoon - one of only three places in the world where you can find the "Knysna seahorse". Take a drive on a 4x4 vehicle and trailer up the headland, where you can enjoy spectacular views. Drive back or opt for a guided walk through the indigenous bush and along the magnificent shoreline. Upon return, a delicious lunch awaits you upon your return.
After lunch, explore the Knysna Waterfront, The Heads and the Knysna Forest, before returning to Wilderness.
Day 10: Wilderness to Barrydale
Today you will experience extraordinary views. You travel via the magnificent Outeniqua pass to Barrydale. Stunning historic mountain passes, towering mountain ranges, contrasting landscapes, vineyards and much more. Route 62 is the longest wine route in the world. A visit to Barrydale Handweavers is something you will never forget. Tonight, you will overnight in a unique hotel - an experience not to be missed.
Day 11: Barrydale to Cape Town
Enjoy the rest of the scenic Route 62, as you traverse slowly back to Cape Town. There will be ample time to visit a wine farm or two. After checking in at your hotel, you have the evening at leisure.
Day 12: Cape Town International Airport
You've come to the end of a wonderful journey - we hope to see you again soon!
