ITINERARY
 

Day 1 - OR Tambo to Sabie.  

Travel from OR Tambo International Airport to the picturesque Sabie - a small mountain town.    Along the way, visit the scenic mountain village of Dullstroom, the historical Long Tom cannon and the magnificent Long Tom Pass.  Spend the night in the mountainous countryside with majestic views over the escarpment.

Day 2:  Sabie, Nelspruit and surrounding areas

Discover the unique beauty of Sabie, Nelspruit and surrounding areas.  Visit the Sudwala Caves, Dinosaur Park, Botanical Gardens or various waterfalls.  

Day 3: Sabie to Hoedspruit

Discover the lovely Lowveld Escarpment. Along the way, visit the small museum town of Pilgrims Rest, enjoy pancakes in Graskop, admire the view from the world-famous God's Window and discover the magical Bourke's Luck Potholes. From there, leave for Hoedspruit via the Strydom Tunnel and amazingly beautiful Elephants valley.

Day 4: Private Game Reserve

Today you can spend the day in the bush.  Enjoy a morning walk, game drive or fishing; or perhaps even all three - the choice is yours. All-inclusive at the Game Reserve you are staying at.

Day 5: Private Game Reserve to Kruger

Spend some time at the Hoedspruit Endangered Species Centre.  The focus of the centre is on rare, vulnerable and endangered species.  Be prepared for an experience like no other.  From there, for Kruger National Park. Tonight, you will enjoy a lovely night drive.

Day 6: Kruger National Park

You will spend the next few days in the heart of the African Bush.  Enjoy a cup of coffee with the resident honey badger, watch the animals quenching their early morning thirst and then venture off for a game drive on your own.  What will you see today? Adventure guaranteed!

Day 7: Kruger National Park

Enjoy a bush walk, take a drive, relax around the swimming pool or read a book - the choice is yours.  Make sure you are well rested because tonight you are going to enjoy a night drive!

Day 8: Kruger National Park

Leave the central part of Kruger for the Southern parts.  The Sabie river bush has one of the highest concentrations of leopard in the world.  Will you be lucky enough to spot one of these elusive cats?

Day 9: Kruger National Park 

Is today going to be a busy one! Start off with an early morning walk; today you will be the stalkers - how close can you get?  Tonight, you'll be treated to a "bush braai".  Leave the camp just before sunset on an open 4x4 game viewing vehicle and enjoy a sundowner along the way.  Tonight you will be treated to a traditional South African "braai" at a private spot in the bush.  No fence between you and the roaming wildlife, but the Rangers will take excellent care of your safety.  No need to be afraid, enjoy the experience and make the most of your last evening in the bush.

Day 10: Kruger National Park to Waterval Boven

Say goodbye to Kruger as you leave for Waterval Boven on your return journey.  Enjoy the rocky outcrops of the Southern part of Kruger, stop at the market for some African art and enjoy the splendour of an African sunset.

Day 11: Waterval Boven to OR Tambo

You've come to the end of a wonderful journey and have to leave for ORT today.  Don't despair, there are still some beautiful things to see along the way!
