14 Days Best of South Africa Tour   


Day 1- OR Tambo to Nelspruit.  

You will travel from OR Tambo International Airport to Nelspruit, where you will spend the night before starting your adventure.

Day 2 - Nelspruit to Hazyview.  

After a scrumptious breakfast, you travel from Nelspruit to the beautiful Hazyview.  Along the way, you can visit the Nelspruit Botanical Gardens, Sudwala Caves and Dinosaur Park, the scenic mountain village of Sabie, Sabie Craft Breweries and various waterfalls among others. 

Day 3:  Hazyview to Hoedspruit

Enjoy an appetizing breakfast before venturing out to discover the lovely Lowveld Escarpment. Along the way, you can do a little shopping in Graskop, admire the view from the world-famous God's Window and discover the magical Bourke's Luck Potholes. From there you travel to Hoedspruit via the Strydom Tunnel and amazingly beautiful Elephants valley.  A delicious dinner is included tonight.

Day 4: Moholoholo Animal Rehabilitation Centre

After breakfast, visit the unique Moholoholo Wildlife Rehabilitation Centre before losing yourself in the beauty of the Blyderivierspoort dam and surrounding forests. From there you will be taken on a leisurely drive back to your accommodation.  How about a game drive before dinner?  A delicious boma dinner is included tonight

Day 5: Private Game Reserve

Spend the day enjoying game drives and/or walks in the Reserve - getting close to Africa's Big Five; explore the bush on elephant back; enjoy a spa treatment or just relax in the privacy of your room. Breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner included. 

Day 6: Kruger National Park

You leave for Kruger National Park where you will spend the next few nights in the heart of the African Bush.  On the way, you enjoy refreshments at Bobbejaankrans, visit Satara - one of the biggest rest camps in Kruger, and have a light lunch at Tshokwane - a beautiful picnic spot. 

Day 7: Kruger National Park

Wake up early morning to go for a guided bush walk.  Track rhino, elephant and lion on foot and observe fascinating facts about the African bush. Upon return, you have time for yourself until you meet with one of the Rangers again for the evening's bush braai.  This is an unforgettable experience not to be missed. A game drive leads you to an open area filled with lanterns and fires.  While listening to the sounds of the bushveld and the distant animals calling, your food is grilled on open fires.  Freshly prepared desserts, coffee and tea signal the end of a perfect evening.

Day 8: Kruger National Park to Cape Town

We say goodbye to Kruger as we leave for Cape Town and the Garden Route.  Enjoy the rocky outcrops of the southern part of Kruger, stop at the market for some African Art before boarding for Cape Town. After checking in at your hotel, you have the evening at leisure.

Day 9: Cape Town

See the best of Cape Town, including a trip up Table Mountain.  Visit the colourful "Bo-Kaap", Castle of Good Hope and Milnerton Lighthouse among others.  You have the rest of the afternoon free to explore on your own.

Day 10: Cape Town to Wilderness

Today you will experience some of the most exquisite vistas you will ever see. There will be regular stops along the way to indulge in some shopping at the various farm stalls before we reach the picturesque town of Wilderness.

Day 11: Tsitsikamma

Tsitsikamma National Park encompasses a marine reserve, deep gorges, and towering trees.  Age old rivers carve their way to the sea and wonderful creatures swim along the shores.  After a magical morning, it is time to visit Birds of Eden.  This is the world's largest free-flight sanctuary and an experience not to be missed.

Day 12: Wilderness

Today you have the day at leisure.

Day 13: Knysna

Board a ferry for a trip on the beautiful Knysna Lagoon - one of only three places in the world where you can find the "Knysna seahorse".  Take a drive on a 4x4 vehicle and trailer up the headland, where you can enjoy spectacular views. Drive back or opt for a guided walk through the indigenous bush and along the magnificent shoreline. Upon return, a delicious lunch awaits you upon your return.

After lunch, explore the Knysna Waterfront, The Heads and the Knysna Forest, before returning to Wilderness.

Day 14: George to OR Tambo

You come to the end of a wonderful journey and must leave for ORT today.  


Kruger National Park, Panorama Route, Cape Town & Garden Route - Three destinations, three different worlds.  Experience the peace and tranquillity of Kruger National Park - one of Africa's largest game reserves.  Admire the slow, relaxed walk of the gracious giraffes, watch the impalas play and stop for large herds of elephants crossing the road.  At night, relax around the campfire, while listening to sounds of the African bush.

From there, marvel yourself in the beauty and splendour of the Panorama Route.  God's window, where you can see for miles on a clear day, Three Rondavels, various waterfalls and so much more.  Graskop is famous for its pancakes - make sure you spoil yourself a little.

Cape Town and Table Mountain - something no visit to South Africa is complete without.  From there, experience the exquisite beauty of the Garden Route - this is surely an experience you will never forget.
